Those who know Brian understand that he's a great guy with a well developed sense of humor. He's an excellent guitarist and performer but can sometimes be a bit anal about his guitars and tuning.
He's also a a bit of a practical joker.
Rick and I schemed up a joke to play on Brian at last night's Open Mic night at Re-Tunes. We enlisted the aid of Nanci Hobson and asked her to request that Brian accompany her in one of her songs.
Meanwhile, Rick Celia hid in a room where he could not seen and added some subtle off-key notes and chords using a wireless transmitter attached to his guitar and patched into the stage sound system mixer.
Nanci did a great job playing the "straightman" The looks on Brian's face as he starts to hear the off key notes are hilarious.
