I am all proud of myself because I learned something today that I never knew. I'll pose the question here. Honor system. No checking at Google University.
Gibson has made many "ES" series guitars since about 1936, including the ES-5, ES-150, ES-335, etc.
Here's the question: For ten points, what does "ES" stand for?

Here's the question: For ten points, what does "ES" stand for?I'll go for 5 points because I DO know without googling. VG magazine had an Michael Wright article on them several years ago. I will say that "E" does stand for electric, though. figuring "TD" out is worth the other 5.

Now that some matters are taken care of, the "ES" in the Gibson models originally stood for "Electric Spanish". Now, for the bonus round. What did the "150" designation on the original Gibson ES-150 represent? Tic toc, tic, toc Blues Dues
