I am the builder of the Bay State guitars exclusively handled by Re-Tunes in New England so this is the place in the forum to get your guitar repair and setup questions answered. Leave them here and I will do my best to get an answer for you as quickly as possible. Let's have some fun with this!

Ok, Sylvan...
I've tried to study every guitar in the "Wells Guitars" gallery you've made. I know you've made a hell of a lot more (and have seen some of them). But, within the "gallery" (photos), which was the most difficult to build and why?
Newbie,

Hi! I have played guitar for 35 years and now my son plays, just getting into this fantastic world of luthier! I have a Burnside Guild Bass and would like to change the neck plate to a custom engraved one, My question is : Are the screws glued in and what should i do when putting the screws back in?

I can't help with your question, mainly because I've never seen a Burnside Guild Bass. That said, I've also never seen a neckplate on a guitar that was screwed on with glue used on the screws. The neckplate is supposed to be removable for shimming. I'd just try to gently unscrew them and see how easily they come out.
