Ok, so I am dating myself. Sylvan and I are probably the only ones that would recognize the subject.

Back in ancient times, when the world was viewed in black and white, Groucho Marx of the Marx Brothers hosted a TV game show called "You Bet Your Life". On the program, if the contestants uttered the "Secret Word" a stupid paper-mache duck would come down with a hundred dollar bill.


So, here's the deal, only for subscribers and guests to the Re-Tunes forum.

Walk into the shop, come over to the counter, and say three times:

"Re-Tunes Rocks!" - "Re-Tunes Rocks" - "Re-Tunes Rocks"

First person (other than me, Steve, Rick or Sylvan) that utters that
phrase three times without losing it wins a new, 2009 Martin DX1 worth $499.00.

I know. Crappy guitar. But it will make a heck of a holiday present for someone.

Deal ends on December 20th or if the guitar is sold beforehand. Consolation prize will be considered, depending on your temperament and my mood.

HUGE Mistake

There's a very savvy guitar "collector" / "beginner player" that lives in Duxbury that will have this scooped up within days.

I've heard she is also into "horses".

It'll be on E-bay within hours for a 25% profit, proceeds of which will go to the potential purchase of a new "Mr. Ed".

She should be immediately excluded from the "insider" list.
