Capt. Francis was overjoyed at the time he had at re-tunes. He got a guitar and amp for his grand daughter and had nothing but praise for the Bay Parlour guitars. He really enjoyed himself. ;D Now, about that silver Gretsch...?

He's a tough negotiator. Had to pay *him* to take it. It's a sweet guitar. And the great thing is that while Dick gave me the guitar, I paid him to give it to me!! What a country!!

Now, about that silver Gretsch...? I'll tell you - that Gretsch is tempting, but...well, that's a gosh awful color for a guitar - unless your Elvis - then I guess it would work.

Now, about that silver Gretsch...? I'll tell you - that Gretsch is tempting, but...well, that's a gosh awful color for a guitar - unless your Elvis - then I guess it would work. I bought that silver sparkle Gretsch from a guy who gigs regularly in the Boston area. He's funny as hell and a really decent guy. Good friends with Donny Herron of Bob Dylan's Band. He bought that guitar one morning at a music shop in New Hampshire. Took it home, decided it didn't go with his complexion and sold it to me that afternoon. He bought another guitar from me but not before spending four hours walking around the shop playing it. Two or three times he went into the head to stand in front of the mirror checking out the new "look". He's been recording a new CD using a Zoom, 16 channel digital recorder. He put a number of tracks down for about 20 new songs, then shipped the recorder to Donnie Herron in Nashville. Donnie added a bunch of tracks as well using everything from fiddle to lapsteel to trumpet. Sounds very good. Dave is going to bring the recorder to the shop and let me strum a few chords on a guitar onto a track or two in a couple of songs. So, when the CD is released, I'll be able to claim that I am playing a backing guitar on the CD. Fame and fortune awaits. ;D RCE
