To the local (Hanson) master luthier and his skilled apprentice -
There's an original, Bay State Parlour Guitar listed for auction on E-Bay. I am considering trying to win it. It's about $200 bucks.
Problem is...I wouldn't have the first damn clue what to do with it. *Way* beyond my "luthier" capabilities :-)
Do either of you have any interest in it as a "project guitar"? If so, I'll try to win it. If not, no sweat.
Just type in "Bay State Parlour" on E-bay...you'll see it.
Regards, GF

Looks like quite an undertaking but it might be a cool project, if it doesn't go up too high. Lets see what Sylvan has to say

Hi Rick -
No problem if not interested. If you guys aren't interested, I may just keep it at the shop as an old hunk of junk...
It's all good either way.

Hey Steve
If you end up with it I would love to check it out and see if we can get it playable, but at the very least it would look pretty cool hanging in the store.

Rick -
Got "sniped" by some other e-bay(er)....So, lost it. Oh well. Can't win 'em all, I guess.
We (Blues Dues) and I did win something else on e-bay. You and Sylvan might get a kick out of it....should arrive in a week or so.

Ebay snipers.
I suppose all is fair in love and war, but i saw somethign getting sniped a few years ago and next thing I know the item was relisted and the sniper had a "deadbeat bidder" mark on his feedback.

I looked at the auction. no bids.
What's that green moldy stuff on the headstock? some type of 100 yr. old glue?
